Bot, short for Robot is known by other names such as crawler, spider, etc. The term used most often to describe the technique which is used to gather information from the internet is spidering.

Our indexer is also unique. Imagine storing billions of documents and being able to retrieve them from our network of databases while simultaneously seeking updated information “on the fly” prior to displaying results; it’s a gargantuan task, especially when we access the Deep Web. Perhaps we’re a split second slower than the major surface engines, but obtaining info from the Deep Web has to travel further – a lot farther!
